The classic backpacker journey through Northern Vietnam, combining the legendary Ha Giang Loop with the stunning rice terraces of Sapa.
To reach Ha Giang from Hanoi, it takes about 6–7 hours, so you should arrive one day before the tour starts. We offer pickup services from Hanoi, Ha Long, Cat Ba, Ninh Binh, and Sapa. A free dorm stay in Ha Giang is included for the night before the tour begins.
08:00: Breakfast at Bong Ha Giang Hostel. 09:30: Meet the guide and start the Ha Giang Loop motorbike adventure. Ride to Quan Ba Heaven Gate and admire the famous Twin Mountains (Fairy Mountains). Continue through scenic mountain roads and valleys. 12:30: Lunch in Quan Ba town. Ride through local villages and stunning landscapes. 17:00: Arrive in Yen Minh and check in to a homestay. 19:00: Family dinner and free evening with games and “happy water”.
08:00: Breakfast and departure. Ride through the famous Tham Ma Pass. Visit Lung Cu Flag Tower, the northernmost point of Vietnam. 12:30: Lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, ride along the spectacular Ma Pi Leng Pass with breathtaking views of the Nho Que River canyon. 17:00: Arrive in Meo Vac and check in to a homestay. Dinner and overnight in Meo Vac.
08:00: Breakfast. Continue riding through remote mountain villages and scenic valleys. 12:30: Lunch on the way. Visit Du Gia Waterfall, where you can swim and relax in the natural pools. 17:00: Arrive at a homestay in Du Gia Village, surrounded by rice terraces. 19:00: Dinner with the local family.
08:00: Breakfast at the homestay. Ride back toward Ha Giang City. Visit Lung Tam Village, famous for traditional Hmong textile weaving. 13:00: Lunch on the way. 17:00: Arrive back in Ha Giang City. 19:00: Overnight sleeper bus to Sapa.
Start the trip at 8:45 AM. Trek 12 km to visit Y Linh Ho and Lao Chai villages, home to the H’mong ethnic minority. After lunch at a local family in Lao Chai or at a small restaurant near the river, continue hiking to Ta Van Village, home of the Dzay people, where you will stay overnight with a local family. Here you will have the opportunity to experience their daily life, traditional work, and unique customs. Breakfast will be served at the homestay at around 8:00 AM. Start trekking at 8:45 AM. Walk about 8 km to visit villages of the Red Dao and H’mong ethnic groups (Giang Ta Chai and Su Pan). Along the way, visit a beautiful waterfall and a traditional rattan bridge, and enjoy the stunning natural landscapes. The tour ends at 2:00 PM in Sapa. Sleeper bus to Hanoi departs at 3:00 PM.
