Our Story
Bong Ha Giang Hostel was born in 2016 out of a desire to share the unspoiled beauty of Ha Giang with travelers from around the world. At the time, North Vietnam was relatively undiscovered, and the Ha Giang Loop was a true hidden gem.
Starting as a small, family-run establishment offering motorbike rentals, we quickly recognized that not all visitors were confident drivers. So we introduced the Easyrider service, where skilled local drivers guide travelers through the challenging mountain roads.
By 2018, we began organizing group tours, creating a fun, social atmosphere for like-minded adventurers. After the COVID-19 pandemic, our popularity soared. Today, over 200 Easyriders work with us, guiding travelers through some of the most breathtaking routes in Southeast Asia.
In 2023, we expanded our presence with Bong Hanoi Hostel in the bustling Old Quarter, offering the perfect base for exploring Vietnam's vibrant capital.
The name "Bong" is a nod to the family's cat, but also means "cotton" in Vietnamese—symbolizing the comforting atmosphere we provide in the midst of thrilling adventures.
