A lot of the different hostels on the Ha Giang Loop follow the same route and head to the same attractions which means they are sometimes quite crowded, so I really appreciated Leader Hung taking the extra time to show us spots off the beaten path—all of which our tour group agreed were the highlights of our trip.

When I first started my job for Bong hostel. At that time my English was very bad, and I was so lucky because all of the tourists helped me learn and speak more English.

A really great tour leader, Alviss took us to some very interesting off-the beaten path places! You can also see how much the easy-riders respect Alviss, which I think shows how much of a good, reliable leader he is.
I was actually self-driving and it was my first time driving a semi-automatic motorbike. Alviss went above and beyond to make me feel safe and supported throughout my trip. He kept me close to the front and put easy drivers in front and behind who kept an eye on me throughout my 4 days!
P.S. Alviss is also super fun in the evenings—how one person can drink that much happy water I’ll never know!

I really like the way he takes care of other people, the easy riders and drives at a good speed. He is very good at connecting everyone and bringing them together 😊 The first night, everyone was not really close to each other but he just came to each table and invited everyone happy water then asked us a lot of questions that made us feel comfortable to talk 😊
Every day Mike would give us control over our tour; he gave us two options: do you want to go on a bamboo raft down the river to a secret cave, you will be the only tourists there, or do you want to go to the Nho Que River and do the popular boat tour? Obviously, I’m sure you know what we all picked and we don’t regret it! But everyday our tour was like this and it made it so incredible, thank you Mike!

He’s a really fun guide, and his English is so good—how does he have such a strong London accent?! Great communicator and gets everyone joining in each evening. He’s also really kind, always making sure everyone is happy and running around making sure we all had rain gear when it was starting to rain one day.
I like the way he told us where we were when we got to every spot. That was a nice touch and gave a little summary or story about the viewpoints.
